Market research company who works with clients to better assess and manage opportunity and risk with a focus on domestic and international film and television, digital and mobile is looking for a Research Manager who will work closely with Senior Managers within the Research Solutions group to perform all aspects of projects. This includes measuring consumer reaction for upcoming movie, television shows, and digital media programming, and working with major and emerging entertainment brands to develop release strategies. This job can be remote, West Coast location preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists with all components of custom online research studies, test screenings, focus groups, exit polls, advertising surveys, etc.
  • Identify design, logic, and data errors when auditing questionnaires, online programs, data tabulations, coded open ends, reports, other data layouts, etc.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships and communication with internal partners and vendors to ensure delivery of all requested project materials.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes to expedite deliverables to internal partners and clients.
  • Support and assist members of the Research Solutions team as needed; completes special projects, project tasks, and other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or executive team members.
  • On occasion, some late night and weekend availability will be required.

Requirements:
  • A passion for movies and TV shows
  • Minimum 1 year of supplier-side market research experience.
  • Experience with various market research methodologies.
  • Experience managing research projects independently from start to finish including managing tasks and adhering to timelines/deadlines.
  • Understanding of effective survey design and ability to create questionnaires to meet varying research needs.
  • Experience working with and manipulating large and complex quantitative data sets a plus.
  • BA/BS with strong academic record and analytical background.

Market research Supplier who supports the Film and Television industry is looking for a researcher with solid operational skills to join their Television client services group. As Manager/Sr. Manager you will join a rapidly growing team with multicultural expertise focused on delivering insightful and actionable insights to top entertainment clients. You will provide valuable insights and recommendations to support your client’s market research studies. The role reports to a Vice President or Executive Director and serve as the day-to-day project manager on specific accounts. You will collaborate on and lead a variety of primary research projects including but not limited to; content optimization, ad/creative tests, messaging/positioning studies, brand studies, and trackers. You will be responsible for project management responsibilities including; research design, questionnaire and discussion guide development, data tab specs, data analysis, reporting and delivery, and presentations. Note this job can also be located in New York area, Miami or Dallas.

Responsibilities:
  • Consulting with clients on project specifications, logistics, and methodology
  • Developing questionnaires and report templates
  • Maintaining and organizing template library and shared drive
  • Creating and implementing data tab specs, banner plans, checking data in-flight and post-field, and communicating with the Operations and Data Processing teams as necessary
  • Monitoring field execution to ensure quality data collection, including weekend and evening monitoring (if needed), and interacting extensively with the Operations and Data Processing teams throughout the project lifecycles
  • Developing discussion guides for qualitative projects; assisting with managing clients, facilities, and moderators before and during focus groups
  • Analyzing complex data sets and providing insightful/actionable research reports and recommendations
  • Contributing to development of team objectives to deliver measurable client value
  • Assisting with business development meetings and presentations as needed
  • Providing onsite support during pilot season for key clients (local)
  • Occasional travel and late night work required

Requirements:
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree a plus
  • 5-10 years relevant experience in TV/media, primary or market research, consumer insights, or consumer research
  • Familiar with various quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
  • Strong interest and experience in entertainment, multicultural expertise a plus – passion for content a must

Responsibilities:
  • Managing weekly tracking that measures the industry as a whole: from theatrical to premium rentals, to streaming, home entertainment, gaming, and more (SVOD, PVOD, EST, etc.)
  • Assist with relationships with studio clients and anticipate their needs through intimate familiarity with their business.
  • Participate in all phases of market research: questionnaire design, link checking, tab specs, data analysis, report populating and writing, presentations, and deep longitudinal data analysis
  • Write weekly ongoing analysis on trends, insights and consult with clients as needed.
  • Assist the execution of operational success to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Ability to synthesize and write analysis based on data from multiple sources into strong narratives
  • Assist and partner with developers to build next-generation products and dashboards.

Requirements:
