Safety Science company is looking to add a Senior/Software Sales Manager to their growing team. The software division sells software products for regulatory compliance, sustainability, and supply chain transparency. The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for the leadership and/or direction to managers and sales staff that sell directly to end users in a large specified geographic area, and/or is responsible for a specific industry or product segment on a national or geographic area. This job can be remote. Ideal locations are Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles, or Philadelphia.
Responsibilities:
Leads development and motivational opportunities for sales teams and professionals by coaching and transferring the knowledge of sales techniques, service offerings, and industry knowledge to the sales team to drive results
Accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams potentially across disciplines or locations.
Achieve team bookings target by selling the Solutions Software and Advisory solutions platform to your assigned enterprise accounts
Works with team to lead client engagement by developing and managing relationships at middle and top management and key decision maker levels for large and medium customers.
Develops and manages sales transaction pipelines and forecasting and hold sales staff accountable for assigned sales targets. Provides coaching to sales staff to ensure pipeline and forecasting information is properly utilized
Develops holistic account strategies that focus on solution-selling across industry-specific portfolios
Able to create and deliver high impact client presentations, communications, and proposals, adapt with Salesforce.com, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Sets and meets specific quarterly or annual sales goals. Establishes processes and systems to monitor and report progress to the CEO, senior team, and board
Manages team of sellers of assigned accounts and strategically engages with select prospects to land new business
Solutions products and services; travel as needed (up to 50%) for proactive outreach to highest potential clients
Works with marketing and business leads to devise new and innovative ways to market products and services and differentiate from competitors.
Understands sales best practices, methods and supporting systems (including CRM).
Requirements:
5+ years of sales
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
Business acumen and deep understanding of business sales processes
Relevant industry experience with understanding of industry trends and challenges
Hands on sales and sales leadership experience with the ability to both pursue, manage, and close new strategic accounts
Ability to work independently and develop strategies, partnering with other leaders to create an aggressive yet manageable path.
Excellent organization and time management skills
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to influence high-level decision makers
Ability to communicate effectively with internal constituents both on the service delivery side and throughout a high collaborative team-based sales process.
Innovative self-starter
Experience presenting to small and large groups both online and in person
Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), CRM software, and digital account planning tools
