Internet Digital Marketplace with intelligent, data-driven online platform powered by proprietary data and analytics need a product/user research focused market research professional. The ideal candidate for the job will have user research experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the user experience research process: design, recruit, schedule and moderate usability
  • studies, user interviews, etc.
  • Partner with product owners and UX designers to proactively identify opportunities for product
  • improvement and manage primary research initiatives
  • Serve as the advocate and champion voice of the customer in product development to push for
  • prioritization and optimizations
  • Assess and identify areas (or problems) for further exploration by systematically reviewing
  • customer feedback
  • Regularly formulate and test product and user experience hypothesis against data and customer
  • feedback
  • Present findings and prioritize recommendations with product owners and UX designers on a
  • regular basis
  • Stay abreast of latest developments and best practices in product research
  • Take on ad hoc research requests and assume other responsibilities as they arise

Requirements:
  • B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Advanced degree a plus
  • 6+ years of working experience in a research related field including, but not limited to:
  • Concept testing; UX testing (desktop and mobile); Ethnographic Research; Personas and Segmentation; Attitudes and Usage studies.
  • Experience in usability lab environment and online qualitative (UserTesting, Usability Hub, etc)
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and to take on challenges
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
